Some people have died after Covid-19 vaccination—not because of it

We’ve seen several posts on Facebook using the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) in the US to claim that Covid-19 vaccines have caused many deaths.

This is not what the VAERS data means. It is a list of reported incidents that took place after vaccination, not necessarily because of it.

At the moment, thousands of people around the world are being given Covid vaccines every day. If someone gets ill or dies shortly after being vaccinated, this does not mean the vaccine caused it. We have written about this issue before.

The UK has so far received 143 reports of death following vaccination—none of which were caused by it. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) says: “The majority of these reports were in elderly people or people with underlying illness. Review of individual reports and patterns of reporting does not suggest the vaccine played a role in the death.”

Starbucks Brand Crashes After Announcement of Plan to Hire 10,000 Muslim ‘Refugees’

The Starbucks Coffee brand has taken a major hit since the company’s announcement that it would hire 10,000 Muslim “refugees” in response to President Donald Trump’s temporary travel moratorium in January.

Starbucks was one of those early to criticize President Trump for putting a temporary hold on immigration from a list of seven terror-torn countries flagged by the Obama administration. In response, the coffee house giant pledged to hire 10,000 Muslim refugees over five years in protest against Trump’s order.

But since the company issued its anti-Trump statement its brand name has lost its luster with customers. Perception levels of the Starbucks brand name fell by an incredible two-thirds since its January announcement, according to a YouGov survey, as reported by Yahoo Finance.

The survey measures how potential customers feel about a company’s brand and asks if they have “heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative.”

In the week before the company’s January refugees announcement, 30% of respondents said they would consider spending money at Starbucks. But after the statement that number fell to 24 percent, the survey discovered.

The company’s announcement immediately sparked a #BoycottStarbucks movement on Twitter and brought condemnation from coast to coast.

Collaborative response needed to end the pandemic

They call for a collaborative response from governments, businesses and development banks around the world to address the damage and end the pandemic. To achieve this, Bill and Melinda Gates advise global cooperation on the following three tasks “as quickly as possible.”

Firstly, the world should “develop diagnostics and treatments to manage the pandemic in the short term and vaccines to end it in the medium term.” Secondly, the world should “manufacture as many tests and doses as we can, as fast as we can,” And thirdly, “deliver these tools equitably to those who need them most, no matter where they live or how much money they have.”

At the end of April, the World Health organization, together with the World Bank, the Gates foundation and other international organizations launched the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT-A), aiming to advance the development, production and equitable distribution of COVID-19 tests, treatments and vaccines across the world.

The two major health organizations in the project are the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), which has nine COVID-19 vaccine candidates in its portfolio, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which has helped low- and middle-income countries deliver 750 million vaccines since it was founded in 2000. Currently, the ACT-A project has the largest and most diverse COVID-19 vaccine portfolio in the world.

Sainsbury’s reckons a quarter of us will be vegan by 2025 as we become ever-more aware of our impact on the environment, our health and animal welfare.

In 2006 there were 150,000 vegans here. Now there are 600,000. And one in three Brits had reduced their red-meat consumption in 2018 for health or environmental reasons.

Bruce Friedrich, of the Good Food Institute, believes we will rely on “plant-based or cultivated” meat alternatives, with abattoirs and factory farms things of the past.

We might get protein from insects and lab-grown meat.

Supermarket food tailored to our needs could be ordered automatically by personal tech.

Many more could die if COVID-19 vaccines distributed unfairly: Gates Foundation

What would have happened if a vaccine had been available as early as mid-March? A report by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, citing COVID-19 modeling from Northeastern University, pointed out that almost twice as many people could die from COVID-19 if vaccines are distributed unfairly around the world.

The modeling shows that if three billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines were distributed to all countries proportional to population in mid-March, 61 percent of COVID-19 deaths would be averted, while if approximately 50 high-income countries received the first two billion doses (out of three billion) of an 80 percent effective vaccine, only 33 percent of deaths would be averted.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on Tuesday launched its fourth annual Goalkeepers Report, which pointed out that no single country will be able to meet the challenges inflicted by the coronavirus alone. Any attempt by one country to protect itself while neglecting others will only prolong the hardships caused by the pandemic as the world today is unprecedentedly interdependent. The Gates couple cautioned that developing and manufacturing vaccines will not end the pandemic quickly unless they are delivered equitably.

“Some governments that have made bets will win those bets, but if they use all the available vaccine to protect only their people, they will be extending the life of the pandemic everywhere. They will also be contributing to a much larger death toll,” the foundation writes in the 2020 Goalkeepers Report.

The COVID-19 pandemic has killed more than 890,000 people around the world and has evolved into a “mutually exacerbating catastrophe” in which people are experiencing an economic crisis, a nutritional crisis, a housing crisis, an education crisis and even a political crisis. According to the International Monetary Fund, the COVID-19’s financial loss is twice as great as the “Great Recession” of 2008, the worst since the end of World War II.

However, no one was wearing masks and social distancing didn’t seem to be particularly in effect, though the group were at least partying outdoors.

Sarah has not been spared from the adverse effects of the pandemic.

The actress, who has had two kidney transplants and undergone multiple surgeries throughout her life, was suffering from severe anxiety at the start of the pandemic as her health history made her immunocompromised.

‘My panic level is pretty high. But I also have a lot of health issues that are very susceptible to stress, so I’m trying to remain calm,’ she said on the Brad Behavior podcast in March.

Fortunately, she still has her wedding to Wells to look forward to once the pandemic is over.

On the day of what was supposed to be their wedding over the summer, Sarah wore a white veil as she drank wine and snapped photos with Wells on a vineyard.

‘A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series. We were supposed to get married today. Instead… we took pictures and drank wine,’ she captioned the photos. ‘I love you to Pluto & back.’
