The Jews of old largely apostasized on Good Friday by denying their King and Messiah, Jesus Christ. On Palm Sunday, they voted for Our Lord as a King they could follow crying out “Hosanna Filio David,” as they cast their palms and garments before Him, but on Good Friday they voted for another candidate and demanded that Christ be scourged, stripped of His garments, and crucified. But in the modern world, it has been the non-Jews, the Gentiles, the Christian nations…us…that have largely rejected Christ the King and have voted for various Barabbases, including various nominal Catholics who have directly opposed the platform of Christ the King. Catholics have both voted and been voted into elected office in large numbers with some holding the highest positions in our land thanks to a large Catholic voting bloc.
Catholics have largely controlled the highest positions in the U.S. Congress, as well as having five seats on the Supreme Court and soon to be six seats. And we now have a candidate running for president as a Catholic looking to become the highest executive in the land. But what has it gotten us? Little or nothing! That Catholic running for president, who has been in government for the past 50 years, has basically crucified any effort to build a culture of life in our country through his full support of murdering the unborn and embracing the agenda of Sodom and Gomorrah, even witnessing as an official minister at a quote on quote “marriage” between two sodomites. Add to this, his connection with a previous administration that sought to coerce Catholic institutions to surrender to the HHS mandate, he is truly an enemy of the Faith. Like at Bethlehem in past ages, his administration would allow no room at the inn for Christ the King on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
